I have been an optometrist for over 16 years, and in that time healthcare has changed dramatically. A visit to your eye doctor used to be a very personal and rewarding time for both you and your doctor. Over the past few years, insurance and pharmaceutical companies have tried to “improve” healthcare and how it is delivered by your eye doctor. The unintended results of this unwanted input has caused many doctors to cut back on each patient’s “doctor time”, schedule more patients during their already over-scheduled day, and delegate more tests and procedures to ancillary personnel.
I started Brodie Optometry because I refused to compromise on the quality of my examination and/or decrease the amount of time that I spend with each patient. I try to provide the most comprehensive medical eye examination using the latest in diagnostic equipment and tailor each examination to each individual patient’s needs. I try to make sure my patients feel welcomed and comfortable by myself and my staff. I will only recommend treatment options that benefit my patients and not my bottom line. I feel that this will result in a very rewarding experience for both my patients and myself, and in the end, my patients will feel secure in referring their family members and friends.
I examine patients of all ages-from infants to great, great grandparents. I examine patients for glasses or contact lenses who are nearsighted, farsighted, have astigmatism, or need bifocals. I examine patients with all types of ocular or medical conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, dry eyes, allergies, “pink eye”, diabetes, hypertension, migraines, or injured eyes from flying debris or trauma. I have a digital camera that takes pictures of the retina of patient’s eyes, so most patients do not have to have their eyes dilated each visit. I have an optical with many designer and exclusive frames, as well as many cost effective frames. I dispense only spectacle lenses that have the highest quality rating to insure that each patient’s vision is as clear as possible with their new glasses. I have a contact lens guarantee program to make sure all of my contact lens patients are satisfied with their contact lenses.
I thank you for taking the time to read my website and I invite you to call my office today for an appointment at our Perrysburg or the Deshler location.
