Dr. Brodie
Dr. Brodie received his first pair of glasses when he was in the second grade, and was less than thrilled. He remembers telling his mother during an office visit for a new pair of glasses in sixth grade that it would be neat to be an eye doctor.
Over the years, Dr. Brodie visited more than 20 different optometrists to observe and learn about the profession. While pursuing a bachelor’s degree in genetics from Ball State University, he decided to make optometry his career.
Dr. Brodie graduated from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 1994. Born in Findlay and raised in Indiana, he moved back to Ohio in order starting his career in private practice.
In June 2001, Dr. Brodie purchased a small practice in Deshler, Ohio and expanded his practice In March 2004 by opening an office in Perryburg, Ohio. In a leap of faith, the current Perrysburg office (and additional retail rental space) was built in 2015 and we continue to accept new patients at both locations.
Dr. Brodie met his wife, Lori, while they were students at Ball State. She has corporate finance experience and oversees the financial side of Brodie Optometry. Dr. Brodie and Lori have three children and live in Waterville, Ohio — where Lori is in her second term as Mayor.
Dr. Brodie feels privileged and honored to help patients achieve better eyesight. He looks forward to many more years of practicing optometry, building relationships with his patients, and helping them through their changing visual needs.
