Dr. Kyle Brodie
Dr. Brodie is a native of Findlay, Ohio. When he was 8 years old, his family moved to Indiana, where he graduated from high school and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Genetics from Ball State University. He then attended and graduated from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 1994. Upon graduation from optometry school, he started his private practice career in Maumee, Ohio. In June of 2001, he purchased a 20 year-old small private optometric practice in Deshler, Ohio. He still practices in Deshler on a part-time basis. In March of 2004, he opened his Perrysburg optician office. He is still accepting new patients of all ages at both locations.
Dr. Brodie received his first pair of glasses when he was in the second grade. He was not very happy at that time. In sixth grade, he received another pair of glasses, and still remembers telling his mother that it would be neat to be an eye doctor during that office visit. He continued to be interested in optometry as he continued his education. He visited over 20 different optometrists over the years to observe and learn about the profession. He made the ultimate decision to pursue optometry as a profession while attending Ball State University. He has never regretted that decision to date. He feels very privileged and honored on a daily basis to help provide better eyesight to his patients. He is committed to help any patient in any way he can. He looks forward to many more years of practicing optometry, building relationships with his patients, and helping them through their changing visual needs.
Dr. Brodie was married to his wife, Lori, in 1989. She is originally from Indiana, where they met while obtaining their education at Ball State University. Lori has earned both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Corporate Finance and a Master’s in Business Administration from Ball State University. She has various work experience in the corporate field, but has spent the last 10 years raising their 3 children. They live in Waterville, Ohio, where Lori is a current 2-term village council member.
